ANNOUNCEMENT: Reminder to all tourism entities to apply for Tourism Operating License
Rwanda Development Board (RDB) reminds all owners and managers of tourism entities mainly accommodation establishments, restaurants, bars, night clubs, tour guides, tour companies and travel agencies that in order to comply with Articles 3 and 4 of the Law Nº 12/2014 of 19/05/2014 regulating the tourism Industry in Rwanda, they will have to obtain a tourism operating license from RDB.
RDB further informs the public that updated list of tourism entities which were successfully licensed or those under licensing process is available on its website www.rdb.rw. RDB, therefore, informs entities which have not yet submitted their application to get licensed to avoid risk of suspension.

Rwanda Development Board (RDB) is seeking to recruit suitable Rwandan candidates
to fill the vacant posts of rangers in Akagera and Gishwati-Mukura National
JOB TITLE: Rangers (Akagera and Gishwati-Mukura
REPORTING TO: Law Enforcement Warden
PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
to the Law Enforcement Warden, the rangers will be primarily responsible for
conducting law enforcement patrols in the field while at the same time
performing side duties among them wildlife monitoring and fire management.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Carry out patrols according to plans and
- Detect and counteract illegal activities
- Monitor key indicators for illegal
activities and wildlife observations, using GPS units
- Carry out duties related to fire
- Work closely with the electric fence
attendants (for Akagera)
- Carry out problem animal control duties
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
The interested candidates should have a minimum of 6 years secondary school
education and be aged between 21-30 years.
- Strong physical abilities and perfect
- Affinity for bush and nature work
- Strict compliance and abidance to
- Ability to perform demanding and flexible
work, during day and night time
- Integrity; inter-personal skills
- Good analytical and problem solving skills
- Good communication and reporting skills
- Demonstrated ability to operate
effectively as part of the team
- Ability to work in remote or isolated
- Ability to work under pressure and overtime
- Knowledge and experience of GPS use
- Bush and survival skills
- Skills in First aid
- Motorcycle driving license
- Having worked under security organs
