Paris Saint-Germain Legends Begin Immersive Visit to Rwanda
The Rwanda Development Board is pleased to welcome Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) Legends Jay-Jay Okocha and Didier Domi for a memorable visit to Rwanda, as part of the ongoing Visit Rwanda and PSG partnership.
The visit officially began in Kigali, where Didier Domi paid his respects to the victims of the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi at the Kigali Genocide Memorial and engaged with young footballers from the PSG Academy Rwanda at the Amahoro National Stadium.
Over the coming days, the two football icons will experience Rwanda’s leading tourism offerings, including adventure activities in Nyungwe National Park, a culinary stop in Musanze, and a mountain gorilla trekking experience in Volcanoes National Park. The itinerary also features engagements with local creatives and an introduction to Rwanda’s conservation-led tourism model.
Their visit reflects Rwanda’s growing appeal as a destination for authentic experiences, responsible tourism, and warm hospitality.
Recent activations in Los Angeles during the FIFA Club World Cup, made possible through the partnership between Visit Rwanda and Paris Saint-Germain, included Visit Rwanda branding on the sleeves of PSG jerseys, a Rwandan coffee showcase at PSG House, and the launch of PSG Academy North America.
Gabriella and Orli, youngsters from PSG Academy Rwanda, joined Didier Domi and club legend Gregory van der Wiel for a unique cultural and sporting experience, highlighting how the partnership continues to build meaningful connections and elevate Rwanda’s global presence.
