What We Are Looking For

Rwanda’s momentum towards Vision 2050 remains on track as the Government of Rwanda(GoR) continues to accelerate private sector-led economic transformation.

RDB is partnering with PEMANDU Associates, a global consultancy firm to implement the Rwanda Private Sector-led Transformation Programme (RPTP), a government initiative based on the long-term strategic direction of Vision 2050 and National Strategy for Transformation.

To achieve these goals, we are looking for project ideas that are:

– Big: Move the needle for the sectors or industries they operate in

– Bold: Innovate and change the way the private sector operates

– Strategic: Leverages Rwanda’s potential, strengths, and capabilities

– Transformative: Significantly evolves Rwanda’s social and economic landscape

– Ambitious: Moves beyond Rwanda’s current status quo and offerings

Rwanda possesses immense potential for private sector-led growth, which can only be
truly achieved through collaborative efforts built upon high-impact, game-changing
projects.

Project Name: Rwanda Aerospace and Aviation Hub

Project Description: Establish Rwanda as an Aerospace and Aviation Hub,utilising
the new Bugesera Airport as a base which is to include an aircraft or parts
manufacturing centre, Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) hub for Africa, and a
center for aviation research and training. This project could attract aerospace
companies, boost tourism, and position Rwanda as a key player in the aviation
industry.
